Analog Drums! Complete Drum Kits of Modular Synth Drums

We partnered with noted synthesist Kurt Kurasaki to fill up three drum racks with modular synth percussion sounds. Completely unique, these can take your productions to the next level. Rich bass, mix-cutting snares, distinct toms and pings, and wild and weird electronics are laid out for the classic 4x4 pads of the Music Production overlay.

Not just a vintage sound, these kits are made with a mix of modern and classic modular synths, recorded with top end professional gear. In some cases, we've added some post-processing and effects, but for the most part, we are providing you with the original sounds, ready to drop into your own mix.

The layout of the drum racks follow this gradient of sound, placing recognizable sounds such as bass-drums, snares, and claps along the bottom row and as you go move towards the top row, the become more synthesized and surprising.

Since the Morph can be used with anything, we went the extra mile and produced these sounds for three different DAWs: Ableton Live, Logic Pro X, and Propellerhead's Reason. Of course, you don't need a Morph to use these sounds, but if you don't have one, you'll be missing out on the incredibly sensitive pads and extended MPE controls.

If you aren't familiar with Kurt Kurasaki's work, he's worked behind-the-scenes developing presets for many synths in Reason and Dave Smith Instruments. With these instruments often being go-to kits for popular music, you can listen to pop music and invariably hear his work on the radio. He's also made some impressive plugins for Reason available at the Propellerheads shop.

But let's get to why you're really here! There's a few options for download. Blend and Splice offer some great backup and collaboration options, but we also offer zips from our own server:
