I have been enjoying getting to know the Morph and how it can apply to my developing compositional workflow. I like how it occupies its own niche, and feel like I'm only beginning to access its true powers. So much untapped creative freedom!

I love the versatility of the Morph. One minute you're playing a lead melody on the keys, and then next minute, you're writing out this review on its QWERTY keyboard. The battery life is great for being on the go with your Sensel Morph and the Bluetooth LE is lightweight on the battery, yet has extremely low latency.

Very cool idea, and its fun to play with. It works fairly well with Logic, but I was hoping it would integrate more easily with Korg Gadget. Seeing as it shares the same footprint as my iPad. I know it was not designed specifically for those interfaces, but maybe something to work toward.

Really cool design. Enjoying all the overlays and particularly the Innovator's!

There are a couple of things I have bought in my life that have spun me around uncontrollably: Reaktor (especially Twisted Tools' products), Kontakt, Falcon, and plugins from the likes of Zynaptiq and Unfiltered Audio. The Sensel Morph is another, only this time the spinning is even more radical for it takes all of the above and raises your game a hundred-fold. I have just got the Morph and am still learning and experimenting with it, but oftentimes I have to go out, leave the computer and programmes, for my head is on fire and I am convinced in that moment that I will never sleep again. And yes, its' warping can follow you into your dreams.
So this is a radical departure for me, basically a studio creature, often deterministic and very concerned with structure. The Morph can reinforce that, or more often- invert that.
I got three overlays with my purchase (and am sorry I didn't get more -and will as soon as I clear December/January bills): the Music Production, the Piano, and the Innovator's. The first is excellent for speeding up one's work-flow (I use Logic Pro principally). It is optimised for Ableton and Bitwig -and so if Ableton is your thing you need to see this/hear this making things even faster for yourself (a cut-down Bitwig 8 track is included with the purchase -excellent, but I'll need parallel lives to stay on top of the above and welcome the Bitwig). The Piano overlay is the most used of the three thus far. Some have complained that it doesn't feel like "real" piano keys. They are right, it doesn't, but I'm not complaining because suddenly "attacking" your Morph can make one's hair stand on end (always have "record" on when your playing with the Morph -accidents bring bounties). I am not a pianist anyway so I think most of us won't care anyway. The amount of sound one can coax is incredible. Another included that really comes alive in this overlay is the Arturia Analog Lab 5 (Pigments in particular).
That leaves the Innovator's -which is the jewel in the crown for the sound designer. Okay you need to spend time with this one, but all comes back threefold and more. I see one can basically construct one's own Maschine or Push if that is your thing -imagine that. In fact imagining and a bit of experimentation are the order of the day here -this is the essence of the Innovator's overlay, realising your own dreams in sound. Or at least moving towards them. The online demonstration of the Sensel Morph working in Falcon left me slack-jawed and that's how I got here today.
Lastly MPE working in synths and the like, where to start? Now I look immediately for MPE compatibility in everything I light upon.
So, get lots of coffee, clear a space in your head and home workspace and get the Sensel Morph if you can.

It’s been incredibly fun, and diving into the world of MPE has been a blast. Zero regrets on this purchase. I’m even considering a second one for my live rig.

Love it! Took a little while to figure out the software but it works great with Pigments and I'm very excited for Ableton 11's upcoming support. It's well-built, works just as it should, and feels great to play!

Looking forward to trying it out with the Reason DAW..This item was a Xmas gift for myself.

Loving it so far! The chord mode on the keyboard layer is the cherry on top, is such a cool product , so versatile and really well built. Looking forward to more from Sensel!

I love this product, it has a wide range of functionality that is only limited by the software. the connection may be a bit faulty at times, but still a great product for live music production.

Amazing portable experience. My “go-to” portable MIDI controller. Smart, well built and very usable.

Ever since I first encountered MPE, I knew this was the future of MIDI. I've tried a few MPE controllers, but the Sensel Morph has become my favourite. The ability to quickly swap between different controller types is brilliant and the expressiveness and sensitivity of the surface is excellent. I'm really enjoying making my own control surfaces with the innovator's overlay too.

This thing is an absolute blast to use. As someone who isn't the best technically on the keys, I had some concerns, but once I was able to throw the Morph at Falcon, any concerns went away.
The Morph when paired with a good MPE synth is great for musical or even non-musical sound design work.

Intuitive and plays great. Morph is incredibly tactile.

Six weeks my Sensel Morph has been here and I've barely scratchd the surface of it's powers.
It Has inspired some new material though.
I just love the extra expression that the MPE gives and the Feel imparted by the Morph is very special and 'Organic' , that's the best word I can find to describe the fluid nature that it adds to my playing.
I have Great Plans for the Innovator's Overlay but all in good time.
I'm still getting my head around the way in which I'm going to integrate the Music Production Overlay but it'll come to me soon enough.
Overall the Sensel Morph is a powerful tool in a compact package.
I love it.

Would love the ability to add or subtract from the current MIDI channel in the music production pad. Thinking that way i could control the different engines in Geist which operate the pads across different channels.

Most versatile controller I've ever seen
The Morph is easily the most versatile musical controller I have ever seen. I got it with the piano, music production, and innovators overlays and it's mind-blowing that you can just take one overlay off and the entire unit immediately becomes something totally different as soon as you put a new overlay on. Programming each overlay is super easy with the app. In addition to using it with Ableton Live and Bitwig, I also use it as a MIDI controller in my live performance rig to trigger samples and give me quick access to other MIDI commands that no other controller can give me - much less one that's super sleek and built like a tank. The piano keys are tiny in order to get two octaves (bottom of the top B key plays the C note above) but the fact that it has polyphonic aftertouch makes it worth adjusting to. As far as the innovators overlay goes, figure out what you want it to be and grab your sharpie!*

A great solution for sample triggering/beat making for both studio and travel!
I was introduced to the Morph last fall at a music conference and was immediately taken at its size and seemingly awesome technology. Fast forward and I'm super glad to have gotten one as it has been incredibly useful for many music making processes in the past few months.
Within the studio, it's a great alternative and add on to any controller (especially for sampling and beat-making) and I find myself using primarily the drum overlay and the production one. When traveling, it has been great especially compared to lugging around a Push 2/Machine Jam. The pressure sensors also make it so that you can keep an organic nature to playing, although I find that the pressure sensitivity is a bit too much with the piano overlay (personally). For performance, it has been a great controller to do anything from triggering video in a VJ software to triggering backing tracks.
one little thing that I've noticed, which might just be me not knowing how to change this, is that if a sound is sustaining, changing the overlay will actually act as an 'off' to that sound. It would be great if changing the overlays would not silence the tail end of the sound that was just triggered. Not a deal-breaker tho, and I've just learned to work around it.
Overall, I would absolutely recommend the morph to have because of its versatility, small size and very good value for your $. The technology behind it is also fascinating, and I hope they keep adding more overlays!

The Morph is amazing! My first impression is how "familiar" the Morph
The Morph is amazing ! My first impression is how "familiar" the Morph feels - the tactility is remarkable ... it is highly responsive/sensitive while simultaneously durable. I've used the Morph for music and video editing . . . it has many more uses than just those two and is programmable. Also a major convenience is how portable and light it is . . . I highly recommend the Morph !

My go to controller for music production
Very innovative controller. Every parameter on each overlay (drum pad, piano, MPC-like controller, gamer, video production, and QWERTY keyboard) can be remapped to any message or channel using the Sensel app. Portable, bluetooth compatible, and everyone's mind is blown when you switch out the overlays. It's a really sensitive device (20,000 pressure sensors) which allows you to put a "human" feel to music production. It's easy and fun, a 6-in-one controller. And you can get the innovator's overlay using Max MSP or other similar software and literally control anything. Super sick, I always recommend it!

and designed to be even better in the future
Innovative, fresh, versatile, and designed to be even better in the future. This is a very cool and solid piece of technology with an openness to it that will allow the community to continue to develop awesome ways to use it. I would say as a music interface device it is extremely solid and most of all FUN! Seriously, being able to switch overlays between mpc and keyboard is just EXCELLENT. It has a fantastic solid build, and the overlays have a fantastic feel to them. The size is amazing for the mobile artist (music, video, drawing, etc). I will say that the drawing and painting tablet use has a solid start, but I think more development is only going to make it better. Tweaking has to be done to find the best sensitivity level. Being able to use different items to draw with is just amazing (cardboard shading pencil, stylus, paintbrush...whatever). I really enjoyed being able to draw on paper as well, and have it show up digitally simultaneously. I am eager to explore other overlays and other custom application interfacing with this wonderful device. I hope to get the necessary tweaking to fully replace my Wacom tablet. The amount of creative things I can do with just my phone and this tablet is amazing. Seriously, imagine beat producing with your cell phone and this tablet connected via BT...WOW! I'm guessing this review will need an update as I discover more ways to use the Sensel Morph. This is a no-brainer for "tech geeks" for sure!
